Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Pharmacy Leader to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day pharmacy operations within our community-focused retailer. You will lead staffing, provide immunization services where allowed, and ensure patient safety while upholding policies and profitability.

As a pharmacist leader, you will mentor technicians, conduct performance reviews, and partner with teams to deliver great service. Candidates need a state license, CPR, and 3+ years in retail with 1 year of management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Licensed pharmacist in the state of practice.
Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
CPR Certification.
3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
One year management experience (preferred).
Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies.
Completion of required certifications.

Responsibilities

Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
Document and apply disciplinary actions.
Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
Implement and execute pharmacy programs including financial results and inventory.
Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians.
Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
Oversee clinical services like immunizations where allowed.
Prioritize workload with effective communication.
May perform other duties as assigned.
