Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Ohio is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead day-to-day operations, ensure accurate prescription filling, staff training and patient safety.

You will oversee hiring, performance reviews, compliance with state and federal laws, and implement pharmacy programs to drive clinical services, profitability and outstanding customer care. A registered pharmacist with retail experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and state regulations.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implement and execute pharmacy programs including financial results and clinical services.
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
