Job summary

Meijer is seeking a licensed pharmacist to lead the pharmacy team in a dynamic retail setting. You will staff, mentor, and assess pharmacists and technicians, and ensure safe prescription dispensing while driving program profitability.

Responsibilities include implementing pharmacy programs, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. This role emphasizes leadership, communication, and clinical service delivery within Meijer's multi-state operations.

Qualifications

Pharmacist must be licensed in the state of practice.
Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
CPR Certification required.
3 years of experience in retail/community pharmacy.
One year of management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
Conduct performance reviews for pharmacists and technicians.
Document and apply disciplinary actions.
Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
Implement and manage pharmacy programs including clinical services, labor, inventory, and profitability.
Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians.
Motivate team members to perform at their best.
Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
Oversee clinical services such as immunizations where allowed.
Communicate effectively and prioritize workload.
