HomeTown Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and billing practices within the Pharmacy Services Department. The role focuses on profitability through policy support, industry updates, and customer service channels.

You will collaborate with teammates, update pharmacy management systems, and assist with insurance details, audits, and data accuracy across locations, while maintaining compliance and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to meet service goals of the Company.
• Respond to telephone, email, chats and direct inquiries with quick, efficient service.
• Provide quality service and knowledge through HomeTown's Pharmacy Services helpdesk.
• Routinely update files in pharmacy management systems (RX30, QS1, etc.) for accuracy and profitability.
• Call pharmacies, patients, insurers and providers to obtain information or clarifications on dispensing, insurance, audits, etc.
• Enter patient information into the pharmacy database to assist with proper billing.
• Track and organize compliance documentation for all pharmacy locations.
• Maintain a safe workplace by adhering to health codes and corporate standards.
• Expand understanding of insurance, billing, eligibility checks and prior authorizations to benefit pharmacies.
• Correct submissions to Immunization Information Systems as needed.
• Process and track returns when requested.
• Educate teammates on relevant topics and practice updates.
• Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives.
• Prepare and review opportunity reports for network improvement.
