HomeTown Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Services Department. You will support dispensing and billing practices, update management systems, and communicate with patients, insurers, and providers to ensure accurate and timely information.

The role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and collaboration with a team to maintain compliance and improve network performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience with an understanding of pharmacy workflow, insurance coverage and billing practices.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician with strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with pharmacy software and billing processes; attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to meet service goals of the Company.
• Respond to calls, emails, chats, and inquiries with quick, efficient service.
• Provide knowledge through HomeTown's Pharmacy Services helpdesk.
• Update patient and prescription data in management systems for accuracy and efficiency.
• Communicate with pharmacies, patients, insurers, and providers for information and clarifications.
• Assist with billing, eligibility checks, and prior authorizations as needed.
• Educate teammates on topics and participate in QA initiatives.
• Maintain compliance documentation across locations.
