The role includes managing educational programs, finances, and personnel, with a focus on quality patient care and compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Effective oral/written communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Home Infusion: 5 years’ experience in Home Infusion, acute care, or specialty pharmacy.
• Procurement Operations: strong negotiation skills and ability to drive savings.
• Operational knowledge of pharmacy technology, and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Plans staffing requirements, hires to meet needs, and schedules to ensure efficient management of pharmacy resources and workflow.
• Cooperates with peers in the scheduling and sharing of personnel resources.
• Develops department-based goals to support hospital and division mission and objectives.
• Develops cost center capital budget and submits for approval.
• Works with physicians in developing criteria for drug use and in implementing and monitoring the criteria.
• Identifies and pursue activities and development opportunities which are appropriate for position and personal development.
