Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Practice Coordinator to support operational and clinical activities in the department. You will interpret prescriptions, coordinate workflow, and act as a resource for staff and clinical teams to ensure safe, effective patient care.

In this role you will help manage inventory, participate in compliance initiatives, and develop staff education while aligning with NM's standards and patient-care goals.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensed or eligible in Illinois within 90 days of start.
• 3-5 years of healthcare setting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission and state regulations.
• Experience with automated pharmacy systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician prescriptions and medication orders.
• Coordinate workload and supervise technicians to ensure efficient operations.
• Act as a drug information resource for patients and staff.
• Assist with compliance, audits, and regulatory standards.
• Support pharmacy residency programs and staff education.
