Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team by ensuring accurate, timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. The role involves assisting patients through the refill process, handling outbound and inbound calls, and maintaining efficient pharmacy operations.

Schedule is onsite in office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM AZT. Arizona license and CPhT are required, with 2+ years of experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Arizona-registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
• CPhT certification required.
• Minimum 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience; HS diploma or GED.
• Strong communication, organization, and technical skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, knowledgeable assistance to patients, providers, and staff.
• Make outbound refill calls and process requests promptly.
• Answer and triage incoming pharmacy calls.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
• Coordinate medication refills and complete accurate data entry.
• Assist with claim adjudication and troubleshoot rejected claims.
