Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Patient Engagement Specialist (Pharmacy Technician) to support patients navigating medication needs and collaborate with pharmacists. You will handle inbound calls, perform refill reminders, and guide patients through refills with professionalism.

Requires active California Pharmacy Technician license or national certification. Schedule is M-F, 8:30-5 or 8-4:30 PST. Quarterly bonuses and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience.
• State registered Pharmacy Technician in California.
• National Certification (CPhT or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process medication refills, including data entry and claim adjudication.
• Place outbound refill calls and assist patients through the refill request.
• Respond to and resolve inbound patient and provider inquiries.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinical staff.
• Maintain and update patient and prescription data in software systems.
• Spot trends, recommend improvements, and support process improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold high-quality service standards.
