Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team by ensuring accurate, timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. The role involves assisting patients through the refill process, handling outbound/inbound calls, and maintaining efficient pharmacy operations.

The position is onsite in the office with a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM AZT). Requires AZ-registered Pharmacy Technician license and national cert (PTCB/ExCPT).

Qualifications

• Arizona state license as Pharmacy Technician; CPhT certification required.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication, organization and technical skills.
• Empathy, integrity and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, knowledgeable assistance to patients, providers, and staff.
• Make outbound refill calls and process requests promptly.
• Answer and triage incoming pharmacy calls.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
• Coordinate medication refills and complete accurate data entry.
• Assist with claim adjudication and troubleshoot rejected claims.
