Job summary

Shields Health Solutions seeks a Pharmacy Refill Technician to support pharmacy staff and liaisons by ensuring accurate and timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. This role will work closely with health system pharmacy staff and Shields liaisons by emphasizing accurate workflows and leveraging technology to support optimal patient care and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• State-registered as a pharmacy technician preferred but not required.
• National certification (CPhT) strongly preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous patient and provider assistance during refills.
• Place outbound refill calls and process patient requests promptly.
• Triage inbound inquiries and route to the appropriate pharmacist or clinician.
• Verify prescription orders with pharmacists and ensure correct days supply.
• Coordinate medication refills and document data across systems.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
