Job summary

AssistRx in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients, caregivers and team members. You will triage inquiries, gather demographics, and route clinical questions to pharmacists.

Responsibilities include scheduling calls, preparing shipping materials for technicians, documenting in the pharmacy application, and reporting adverse events as required. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Good communication skills, both written & verbal, preferred

• Prepares shipping materials for packing stations
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Identify and report adverse events pursuant to program requirements.
• Identify, document, and report safety information.

Overview

The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Coordinator is to correspond with patients, caregivers and team members. The Patient Care Coordinator will act as a first point of contact with patients by carefully evaluating and assessing the purpose of the call, prioritizing and triaging if indicated. The Patient Care Coordinator will also prepare shipping materials and documents for the pharmacy technicians as needed. All tasks requiring clinical decision-making will be triaged to the pharmacists.

Pay Range

USD $17.38 - USD $21.73 /Hr.
