Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations and patient services. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, handling prescription data entry, patient registration, and coordination of pharmacy workflow to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities include training and performance management of technicians, assisting with vaccines and health services as allowed by law, and maintaining compliance with company policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of experience as a retail or hospital pharmacy technician.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Under the supervision of a pharmacist, assist with healthcare service offerings including administering vaccines, health screenings, and health services allowed by law.
• Manage core pharmacy workflow and drive excellence in pharmacy operations; coordinate daily schedule and inventory.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians and handle personnel issues.
