Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations under pharmacist supervision. You will handle prescription data entry, patient registration, inventory tasks, and contribute to an efficient workflow while ensuring a positive patient experience.

In this role you will lead training and performance management of technicians, support health services offerings like vaccinations where allowed, and help maintain compliance with company policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required (except Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including prescription data entry and preparation of medications.
• Coordinate non-clinical pharmacy tasks to maintain on-time workflow and inventory.
• Support vaccination services and health screenings when permitted by law.
• Train and coach pharmacy technicians; participate in performance management.
• Ensure accurate insurance processing and handle 3rd party claims escalation.
