Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to perform day-to-day non-clinical and operational tasks. You will assist pharmacists with registration, data entry, dispensing, and healthcare services such as vaccines where permitted by law.

Under supervision, you will manage scheduling, training, and performance of technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Prior retail/hospital experience and a valid PTCB certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivering patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification where allowed by law.
• Under supervision, assist with healthcare service offerings including vaccines, health screenings, and other services allowed by law.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians and supervise support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
