Job summary

Walgreens Co. seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead daily pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise staff, and deliver immunizations and clinical services to patients. You will optimize workflow, manage inventory, and enhance patient experience while ensuring accurate dispensing and billing.

Collaborate with Store Managers, maintain pharmacy systems, and drive performance through staff development and adherence to policies and standards.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
Internal candidates: average leadership rating and no disciplinary actions in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, and OTC products.
Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications.
Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, policies and standards and manages staffing.
Supports pharmacy staff and patients with information technology and workflow optimization.
Maintains information technology knowledge of pharmacy systems and inventory management.
