Walgreens seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead daily operations, ensure compliant dispensing, and deliver high-quality patient care across its pharmacy team. The role emphasizes accurate medication handling, immunization services, and effective inventory management while upholding company policies and regulatory requirements.

The manager will supervise staff performance, coordinate with Store Manager, and drive initiatives that improve patient outcomes and the overall pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

• Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves patient issues to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and OTC products; refers to medical provider as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company policies; oversees staffing, scheduling, and shift changes.
• Maintains information technology knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports staff and patients with IT needs.
• Prepares and submits records and reports required by laws to run the pharmacy business.
