Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a licensed pharmacist to lead pharmacy operations in a retail setting. You will manage the team, ensure compliance with laws and policies, optimize inventory and labor, and drive pharmaceutical care and customer service excellence.

You will coordinate with physicians and staff to support clinical services, monitor pricing and reimbursements, and participate in public health initiatives. Strong leadership and ongoing education are essential.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited U.S. school (Pharm.D. or B.S.).
• Pharmacy license in good standing in the U.S.
• Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy experience or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to read prescriptions.
• Ability to write routine reports and convey information clearly.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and confidentiality.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing professional education and clinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a staff pharmacist and lead the pharmacy team.
• Promote sales initiatives and manage the sales plan.
• Ensure legal compliance and follow company requirements.
• Direct the team to meet budgeted labor, volume and inventory goals.
• Optimize inventory, reduce overstock, and manage ordering procedures.
• Monitor third-party profitability and handle rejections/audits.
• Schedule staff to control labor costs and improve efficiency.
• Maintain all required pharmacy records and ensure patient safety.
• Provide patient counseling and support public health initiatives.
