Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician in Illinois to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will help manage workflow, patient interactions, and daily administrative tasks to ensure accurate prescriptions and a positive experience.

Responsibilities include prescription data entry, patient registration, preparing medications, assisting with vaccines and health screenings where allowed, and contributing to inventory management

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• PTCB certificate or eligibility (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative tasks under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications.
• Support vaccine administration and health services where allowed by law.
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and respond to patient inquiries.
• Contribute to inventory management, recordkeeping, and compliance with policies.
