Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a full-time certified pharmacy technician in Illinois to support non-clinical operations, help maintain accurate prescription processing under pharmacist supervision, and ensure a smooth pharmacy workflow.

You'll engage with customers, assist with new technology and inventory tasks, and participate in training and performance management of technicians while upholding company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities under pharmacist supervision.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Engage customers to ensure a positive patient experience and resolve non-clinical inquiries.
• Assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and inventory management under policy guidelines.
• Support delivery of health services and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
