Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical and administrative pharmacy operations. Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist with prescription processing, patient registration, data entry, and medication preparation while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

You will lead technicians, participate in training, scheduling, and performance management, and help drive customer experience and efficient pharmacy workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verifying where allowed by law.
• Communicate prescription errors to supervising pharmacist and adhere to company policies on dispensing.
• Help manage pharmacy operations to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
• Support pharmacy manager with inventory management, reporting, and records required by company and authorities.
• Support outreach, community events, and partnerships to promote pharmacy services.
