Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time, non-clinical pharmacy technician to support day-to-day operations, ensure efficient workflow, and deliver a positive patient experience under pharmacist supervision.

You will handle prescription data entry, patient registration, and preparation of medications, while participating in health services such as vaccines and screenings as allowed by law. Emphasis on training, coaching, and performance management of technicians.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico)
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivering patient care and prescription processing under supervision
• Register patients, enter prescription data, and prepare medications for patients
• Handle patient and physician calls and support health services like vaccines and screenings
• Supervise non-clinical work and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Prepare and file reports required by company and government agencies
• Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and equipment maintenance
• Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing and company policies
• Communicate prescription errors to pharmacists and support quality improvement programs
• Process insurance claims and coordinate with payers to prevent denials
• Support store and pharmacy management in financials, operations, and community outreach
