Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities under the supervision of a pharmacist.

The role ensures efficient workflow and a positive patient experience while managing training and performance of technicians. Responsibilities include patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and assisting with vaccines and health services as allowed by law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy under company policies and laws to maintain on-time workflow.
• Prepare and file reports required by the company and government agencies; manage inventory and daily pharmacy schedule.
• Support pharmacy operations, assist with vaccines and health services where allowed by law, ensure accuracy of insurance claims and problem-solve with insurers.
