Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations under supervision. The role focuses on accurate data entry, prescription processing, and ensuring a smooth pharmacy workflow.

You will assist pharmacists in patient care, help maintain records, and contribute to training and performance management of technicians, while upholding company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, prescription data entry, preparation and verification of medications.
• Support non-clinical pharmacy tasks to ensure efficient workflow and customer experience.
• Prepare and file reports and records per company policies and government regulations.
• Lead training and performance management of technicians.
• Monitor inventory and ensure security safeguards within the pharmacy.
• Assist with immunizations and health services where allowed by law.
