Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities. Under pharmacist supervision, you will help manage prescription data entry, patient registration, and preparation of medications, while assisting with vaccines and health service offerings.

You will lead training and performance management of technicians, participate in scheduling, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification.
• Assist with healthcare service offerings including administering vaccines and health screenings under pharmacist supervision.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work to team members under pharmacy policies and laws.
• Coordinate pharmacy daily schedule and ensure efficient workflow and inventory management.
• Maintain records and safeguard security in the pharmacy environment.
