Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations of the pharmacy within the store. You will hire staff, oversee performance, ensure accurate dispensing, and implement clinical and financial programs.

You will mentor pharmacists and technicians, drive patient safety, and ensure adherence to all corporate policies and legal requirements. Leadership and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates in.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Discipline actions when needed.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implement and manage pharmacy programs, including financials, clinical services, labor, and inventory.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy staff.
• Motivate team to deliver high performance.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
