Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist leader to manage the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy, oversee staff hiring and performance, and ensure accurate dispensing and excellent patient care.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, training, and adherence to all policies and laws within a retail setting. The candidate will lead clinical services, immunizations where allowed, and the optimization of pharmacy programs, inventory, and profitability.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree and pharmacy license in state.
• Certifications: CPR and Immunization.
• Retail/community practice: 3 years experience.
• Management experience preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Execute pharmacy programs including financial results, clinical services, inventory, and profitability.
• Educate and mentor staff to be effective team members.
• Motivate team to perform at highest level.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal laws.
• Provide clinical services such as immunizations where allowed.
• Communicate effectively and prioritize workload.
• Other duties as assigned.
