Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead day-to-day operations in the pharmacy, hire staff, train team members, manage inventory, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing of prescriptions.

You will implement clinical programs, drive profitability, and mentor pharmacists and technicians while upholding state and federal regulations. You will oversee patient safety, staff scheduling, and collaboration with store leadership to expand pharmacy services and improve customer care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies, and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews for pharmacists and technicians.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implement and manage pharmacy programs including financial results and inventory.
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians.
• Lead and develop team members to perform at high levels.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
• Oversee clinical services such as immunizations where allowed.
