Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time, non-clinical pharmacy technician to support daily pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision. You will handle prescription data entry, patient registrations, and medication preparation while coaching technicians and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, workflow efficiency, and participation in health services and immunization programs where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (where required).

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under supervision to ensure efficient workflow and positive patient experience.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Assist pharmacist with patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and verification where allowed by law.
• Coordinate pharmacy daily schedule, inventory management, and reporting for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and communicate prescription errors to the pharmacist.
