Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician in Wisconsin to support non-clinical pharmacy operations, patient registration, data entry, and medication preparation under a pharmacist's supervision.

You will lead and train pharmacy technicians, manage scheduling, ensure compliance with laws and policies, and help deliver high-quality customer service and immunization services as needed.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy under policy and laws to ensure on-time tasks and efficient workflow.
• Prepare and file reports and records required by company and government agencies as directed.
• Manage pharmacy workflow and daily schedule of activities, allocate hours, keep the area clean and stocked.
• Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing and maintain security safeguards with the pharmacist and management.
