Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and patient experiences. Under pharmacist supervision, you will handle prescription data entry, patient registration, and basic immunization services where allowed by law.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training and performance management of technicians, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations to support pharmacist and patient needs.
• Assist pharmacist with patient care activities including prescription data entry and medication preparation.
• Handle patient registration and calls under pharmacist supervision.
• Contribute to vaccine administration, health screenings, and other lawful services.
• Delegate non-clinical work within company policies to ensure on-time tasks and efficient workflow.
• Prepare and file reports required by company and government agencies.
