Job summary

Walgreens Co. in Crescent Springs, KY, is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and patient services under the supervision of a pharmacist.

You will help with prescription data entry, medication preparation, patient registration, and calls to patients and physicians. The role includes training and mentoring technicians, participating in immunization services, and ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient daily workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Complete patient and physician calls under the supervision of a pharmacist (where allowed by law).
• Assist with healthcare service offerings including administering vaccines, health screenings, and any health services allowed by law.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Manage core pharmacy workflow and daily schedule of activities; allocate hours and ensure efficiency.
