Job summary

Walgreen Co. in Frankfort, KY seeks a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and maintain efficient workflow under the supervision of a pharmacist.

You will handle prescription data entry, medication preparation, patient calls, and collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager on staff development and scheduling. The role includes assisting with immunization services where allowed by law, participating in training, and contributing to a positive patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including prescription data entry and medication preparation.
• Respond to patient calls under supervision.
• Support vaccine administration and health services where allowed by law.
• Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow.
• Lead non-clinical tasks and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
