Job summary

Walgreens in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under supervision of a pharmacist. You will help with patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and routine health services where allowed.

You will optimize daily workflow, assist with inventory, and ensure accurate insurance processing and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications and verify counts under supervision.
• Administer vaccines and support health services where permitted.
• Manage daily pharmacy workflow and inventory.
• Process insurance claims and resolve pay issues.
• Train and supervise pharmacy technicians; support store goals.
