Job summary

Walgreens in Metairie, LA is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will help ensure efficient workflow, accuracy, and a positive patient experience.

You will lead training and performance management of pharmacy technicians, assist with patient registration, data entry, and immunization support where allowed by law. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required (except Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist pharmacist with patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation and verification of medications.
• Supervise and train pharmacy technicians; manage performance and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, laws and regulations; maintain records and reporting.
• Support inventory management and ensure pharmacy area is clean, stocked, and organized.
