Job summary

PillPack, LLC, a part of Amazon Pharmacy, is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee operations at a small-format site. You will lead a team of technicians and pharmacists, ensure safety and quality, and drive patient-centric service from dispensing to fulfillment.

The role requires a Pharmacist license, state compliance, and hands-on involvement in operations with a focus on safety and efficiency. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in PharmD, or Doctor of Pharmacy, or Doctor of Pharmacy in Science.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in domicile state or willingness to obtain.
• 1+ years of Staff Pharmacist experience in Amazon.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in all states requiring Non-resident PIC license, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations related to pharmacy practices and patient safety.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to analyze and problem-solve.
• Ability to manage detail, establish root causes, and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall safety, quality, and customer experience of operations.
• Manage daily site operations and CPT-time targets for same-day deliveries.
• Evaluate physician medication orders for drug appropriateness and dosing; suggest therapy changes as needed.
• Set expectations for employees; monitor performance and provide feedback.
• Educate staff on policies, guidelines, and quality practices.
• Lead Lean and quality initiatives to meet/exceed operating plans.
• Manage workflow, escalations, and delegate with the leadership team.
• Stay compliant with local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and licensure requirements.
• Coordinate with legal to maintain licensure and align with accrediting bodies.
