Job summary

Walgreens in Round Rock, TX is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations, ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. You will assist the pharmacist with prescription data entry, medication preparation and dispensing activities under supervision.

You will also lead training and performance management of technicians, manage scheduling and inventory, and help implement new processes and technology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities to ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
• Assist pharmacist with prescription data entry, medication preparation and dispensing under supervision.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians; participate in scheduling and shift planning.
• Manage inventory, records, and adherence to Good Faith Dispensing policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support customer service, respond to inquiries, and help with health services offered by the pharmacy.
