Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations, under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Under pharmacist supervision, perform patient calls and assist with healthcare service offerings.
• Delegate non-clinical work and ensure on-time task completion per company policies.
• Manage pharmacy workflow and scheduling; ensure inventory and records are compliant.
• Lead training and performance management of technicians; handle hiring and scheduling.
