Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy department, ensuring accurate prescription processing and high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes collaboration with store operations, provider interactions, and program growth including immunizations and MTM where available.

The position requires a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy, and at least two years of retail pharmacy experience with immunization certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.), or equivalent in Pharmacy.
Two years of retail pharmacy experience.
Immunization Certification is required.

Responsibilities

Maintains collaborative relationship with store ops team and drives associate engagement.
Ensures accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions per DRUG Utilization Review and QA.
Manages department to grow script growth via clinical programs including immunization and MTM when available.
Aligns performance objectives to department metrics and provides healthcare counseling to customers.
Supervises pharmacists, associates, and support staff; directs training and development.
Maintains security of the pharmacy and handles customer issues to build trust.
Interacts with physicians to resolve issues and gather information.
