Job summary

Weis Markets in Pennsylvania seeks a Pharmacist to oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure prescription accuracy, and provide healthcare counseling to customers. You will supervise technicians and support staff and support the Pharmacy Manager in leadership duties.

Immunization programs, MTM when available, inventory control, and regulatory compliance are key aspects, with a focus on patient care and service quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) in Pharmacy required or equivalent.
Immunization Certification required.

Responsibilities

Ensure accuracy of prescriptions by completing Drug Utilization Review and QA as required.
Lead clinical programs including immunization and MTM when available.
Align department objectives with key metrics; monitor inventory and weekly sales.
Provide healthcare counseling and excellent customer service.
Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff; train and coach associates.
Assume pharmacy management in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
Maintain security of the Pharmacy and comply with laws and regulations.
Handle customer issues, consult with physicians, and resolve prescription questions.
Assist with training and development to improve performance and reduce turnover.
