Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.), or equivalent in Pharmacy, and Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e., APhA).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs including appropriate immunization and MTM when available.
• Align performance objectives to department metrics; manage inventories and pharmacy stock to meet demand and maximize profits.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues and healthcare counseling.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff; train, coach, and manage associates.
• Assume management responsibility over the entire pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Maintain open communication with operations and pharmacy management to ensure success.
• Maintain appropriate security of the Pharmacy department and comply with regulations.
• Handle and resolve customer issues and questions to build trust and loyalty.
• Interact with physicians to gain information on customers and prescriptions and resolve issues.
• Assist with ongoing training and development of department personnel to improve performance and reduce turnover.
• Prioritize Pharmacy tasks; cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls to customers.
