Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy leader to plan, direct, and supervise daily pharmacy operations in a retail setting.

The role involves staffing, performance reviews, and implementing pharmacy programs to achieve clinical and financial goals. The position requires a PharmD or equivalent, state pharmacist license, CPR, immunization certification, and several years in retail pharmacy with management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Prepares and conducts performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions.
• Fills prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implements and executes pharmacy programs, including clinical services and profitability.
• Educates and mentors pharmacists and technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivates team members to perform to their highest level.
• Holds team members accountable for results and aims to expand the pharmacy business.
• Oversees clinical services, including immunizations where allowed.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
