Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to plan, direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including staffing, training and adherence to policies.

You will fill prescriptions safely, manage inventory, oversee clinical services such as immunizations, and mentor pharmacists and technicians to achieve outstanding patient care and profitability. This role requires a PharmD or BPharm, state licensure, CPR, immunization certification, and prior retail management

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with PharmD or equivalent.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Execute pharmacy programs including financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, and stock loss management.
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer Policies and state/federal laws.
• Oversee immunizations and other clinical services where allowed.
• Communicate effectively to prioritize workload.
