Job summary

Meijer Inc. Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy.

Responsibilities include staffing, hiring, performance reviews, clinical services, patient safety, and adherence to corporate policies and state/federal laws. The role requires a Doctorate of Pharmacy or Bachelor's degree, active Pharmacist license, CPR, and at least 3 years in retail/community practice with management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Prepares and conducts performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions.
• Fills prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implements and executes pharmacy programs including financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, and profitability.
• Educates and mentors pharmacists and technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivates team members to perform to their highest level.
• Holds team members accountable for results and supports growth of the pharmacy business.
• Performs clinical services where allowed, including immunizations.
