Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including staffing, prescription accuracy, staff training, and adherence to policies, to ensure patient safety and superior service.

This role emphasizes clinical services, profitability, and regulatory compliance while leading pharmacists and technicians to deliver excellent customer care and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conducts performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions.
• Fills prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implements and executes pharmacy programs, including clinical services and profitability.
• Educates and mentors pharmacy staff to be effective team members.
• Holds team members accountable for results and fosters growth of the pharmacy business.
• Complies with Meijer policies and state and federal laws.
• Performs clinical services such as immunizations where allowed.
