Job summary
Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead day-to-day operations, hire and train staff, and ensure safe prescription filling and patient services. You will oversee clinical services, inventory, and profitability of the pharmacy while upholding Meijer policies and state/federal regulations.
The role requires a PharmD or Bachelor's in Pharmacy, active pharmacist license, CPR, and immunization certification.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
- Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
- Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
- CPR Certification.
- 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
- 1 year management experience (preferred).
- Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies.
- Regulatory knowledge in the state of operation.
Responsibilities
- Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
- Conduct performance reviews for pharmacists and technicians.
- Document and apply disciplinary actions.
- Fill prescriptions accurately and safely.
- Implement and manage pharmacy programs including clinical services and profitability.
- Educate and mentor pharmacy staff.
- Motivate team to perform at high levels.
- Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and laws.
