Job summary

Mercy Health – Youngstown is seeking a Pharmacy Services Materials Coordinator to manage pharmaceutical purchasing and inventory. You will work with system and local pharmacy teams to maintain standard ordering, ensure drug receipts are compliant, and process invoices under DSCSA and 340b requirements.

Responsibilities include narcotics documentation (CSOS/222 forms), perpetual inventory oversight, physical inventories, and collaborating on drug shortage plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of pharmacy field or materials management experience required.
• Pharmacy Technician license/registration required or ability to obtain within 12 months; CPhT preferred.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy purchasing, invoicing, and contract alignment.

Responsibilities

• Compile, prepare, and generate purchase orders for pharmaceutical products.
• Collaborate with system and local pharmacy teams to maintain standard ordering and approvals.
• Oversee CSOS processes and narcotics documentation with the appropriate pharmacist.
• Ensure perpetual inventory compliance and monitor outdated items.
• Coordinate physical inventories and reconcile invoices with accounts payable.
• Support drug shortage plans and align purchases to contracts and programs.
• Maintain DSCSA and 340b compliance for drug receipts and transactions.
