Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to perform post-graduate pharmacy activities under supervision, fulfilling State Board requirements and providing customer-focused pharmacy consulting on medication use and interactions. The role includes immunizations and preventive care services.

The position supports compounding, dispensation, review and verification of prescriptions, and helps optimize pharmacy workflow, inventory and customer experience in a regulated retail setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required? (Note – If you live in a state that does NOT require an Intern permit/certificate, response is "yes").

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Develops relationships with valuable customers by anticipating needs and offering services (e.g., immunizations, drug therapy reviews).
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies; assists with procedures and shift duties.
