Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support prescription processing, customer service, and inventory management in our pharmacy team.

You will work under a pharmacist to ensure accurate data entry, third‑party billing, and clinical service support. The position requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program and a state intern license, with a strong emphasis on communication, confidentiality, and patient care.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Pharmacy Intern License (state specific).
• Positive attitude with strong communication.
• Neat and legible penmanship and organizational skills.
• Prioritization and time management abilities.

• Understanding of patient confidentiality and MTM/pharmacy workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and assist patients with product selection.
• Communicate with patients in person and by phone; obtain medication prices upon request.
• Process and fill prescriptions; perform data entry and third-party adjudication.
• Maintain inventory, update balance on hand, and manage order receiving.
• Assist with clinical services and third-party functions as allowed.
• Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
