Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, process and fill prescriptions, and assist with inventory management within the Meijer Pharmacy.

The role includes interaction with patients in person and by phone, and collaboration with pharmacists on clinical services where allowed. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program and hold a Pharmacy Intern License (state-specific).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and patient interaction in person and by phone.
• Process and fill prescriptions.
• Use pharmacy computer system for data entry and third-party adjudication; count and label prescriptions.
• Maintain inventory and balance on hand; place orders; manage vendor charges.
• Provide clinical services where applicable and allowed.
• Assist with third-party functions and education initiatives.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.
